Since 1885 the Towers-Burt Land Company has owned and managed the all inclusive mineral rights to 250,000 acres in South East Montana. This area includes the various portions of the Powder River Basin, the Tongue River, Custer County, and Pumpkin Creek.
These mineral rights are fully registered in the court houses of Miles City, Billings and Helena Montana and Gillette Wyoming and remain current with their registration and are free of any encumbrances and recently independently verified by audit by two independent landmen from Miles City. The geology varies from coal, coal bed methane, oil, and rare earth. Coal seems to be extensive with surrounding mines reporting increase annual yields.
The Towers Burt Land Company invites the lease or purchases of these mineral rights in total. These near 390 square miles of prairie is clearly an opportunity to capitalize on the recent “oil boom” as mined successfully in the surrounding areas.
